About this course
By the end of this course you will:-
a) Be familiar with the concept of law from its foundations in history to
its use today have learned some of the words and expressions always associated
with law
b) Be familiar with vocabulary related to a courtroom
c) Have learned the basics of civil procedure and some of the documents associated with a lawsuit
d) Be familiar with the law of torts and the legal concept of negligence
e) Know about the law of real property and its roots in British Common Law, be familiar with the concept of conveyancing and know the different ways in which real property can be owned
f) Be familiar with key vocabulary used in Intellectual Property law,
including copyright, patent and trademark also be familiar with the vocabulary most often
used in the law of contracts
g) Be familiar with the law of torts and the legal concept of negligence
