By the end of this course you will:-
a) have written a mini saga in which you have demonstrated narrative
writing skills
b) have written a description demonstrating observation and
sensitivity
c) have selected and focused on key ideas and will have demonstrated
how you have developed them

d) identify key instructions, note the key elements to include/complete
e) recognise and reproduce appropriate genre and format and have greater awareness of the IELTS band descriptions demonstrated in your writing
f) more confidently address other everyday formal writing tasks

g) recognise, select and use cohesive devices to improve text cohesion
h) understand how to use pronoun reference and synonyms to improve
your writing
i) understand the usefulness of carefully chosen deliberate repetition and know how to avoid unhelpful repetition by using parallel forms as
substitutes

j) identify footnotes, insert footnotes and compile a bibliography
k) insert correct referencing for direct quotations and  explain the importance of referencing

l) explored a range of genres through which the above writing skills
may be honed
